SAP Business Objects Migration Workshop
itelligence have formulated a tried and tested migration methodology that they have implemented with every one of their 120+ successful migrations.
At the end of the migration assessment a customer will have a complete understanding of the scope, effort and costs associated with moving to a new version of SAP Business Objects.
The first step is to conduct a scoping and analysis phase which is specific to each client’s planning requirements. During this phase itelligence will identify and document the business benefits and considerations of the migration, the size and the scope of the project, a detailed project plan, BusinessObjects license recommendations, software and hardware specifications, security and content plans and training and workshop recommendations. We have found that this stage is absolutely critical to the success of the migration project as this is when the majority of project issues and risks are mitigated and roles, responsibilities and deliverables are defined.
Following each workshop a customer may either choose to conduct a migration themselves or contract itelligence to deliver the migration Services.
The scope for a migration workshop covers a single production system for a customer covering SAP Business Objects version 4 up to SAP BI4.x.
As part of a migration workshop we will need administrative access to the SAP Business Objects installation, support from the SAP Business Objects Administrator.
