Test Data Anonymization (TDA)

Solution for Implementing GDPR Requirements for Anonymization and Pseudonymization

TDA is a SAP AddOn for data privacy compliance as well as protection of trade secrets in SAP and non-SAP test systems. It is a flexible and high-performance solution for consistent, cross-system depersonalization of data in test, training and project systems. TDA meets all requirements of worldwide data protection regulations. With integrated identification of sensitive data, highly flexible depersonalization rules with reduction of system size and ensuring consistency across system boundaries.

Your Benefits
Functions
Scope & Requirements

Search for Sensitive Data

Structured identification and documentation of relevant data in the system

Comprehensive Depersonalization

Flexible &powerful methods for anonymization and pseudonymization with proven configuration

Consistency Across System Boundaries

Unified depersonalization of all connected SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP systems

Your Benefits

Integrated Search for Personal Identifiable Information

The integrated SOPHIA system analysis identifies personal identifiable information (PII data) and other sensitive information on table and field level. The analysis can be adapted to individual requirements and analysis schemes can be saved for repeated execution. The result of the system analysis is the starting point for the following depersonalization and at the same time a comprehensive documentation for the structured procedure towards supervisory authorities.

Flexible and Powerful Methods for Depersonalization

Comprehensive ready-made methods for modifying different types of data, which can be used flexibly for the system in question, including customer-specific tables. Data can be intelligently modified, replaced, deleted, overwritten or combined with other data. Thanks to a well-proven configuration for SAP standard tables, systems can be quickly and reliably depersonalized in compliance with data privacy regulations. Custom methods can be easily integrated in case of special requirements.

Consistency and Reduction of System Size

The depersonalization takes dependencies between data objects within single systems or connected SAP and non-SAP systems into account. Data consistency is maintained even if the depersonalization is executed at different times on the connected systems. Data modifications are done taking plausibility checks into account, so that a functional test system landscape remains intact. The operating costs of the test systems are minimized by deleting data that is no longer required, thus reducing the size of the database.

Functions and Features of Test Data Anonymization (TDA)

  • Identification of personal data in SAP standard and customer-specific tables, including count, scope and comparison with automatic configuration generation
  • Depersonalization by means of anonymization or pseudonymization, in heterogeneous SAP system landscapes, anonymization of key fields, dynamic & static replacement rules
  • Integration in landscape management software as post copy action to automate the entire process (SAP LAMA, Blue System Copy, Solution Manager...)
  • Integration of non-SAP systems using flexible interfaces such as RFC, REST, DBConnect, File
  • Reduction of system size through consistent data volume management and deletion of unused data
  • Predefined data model for the standard SAP data model and well-proven depersonalization rules
  • Non-SAP systems are modified consistently in connected landscapes by a hash procedure
  • Minimal project duration - within a few days from kick-off to go-live
  • S/4HANA Ready
  • Can be optimally combined with SAP HANA 2.0 Real-Time Anonymization

Scope

  • Installation as transport in separate namespace (/NA2/)
  • Evaluation of the results of the system analysis and configuration workshop
  • Implementation of the configuration for SAP standard data model
  • Customizing the configuration and integration of customer-specific tables
  • Test and performance optimization
  • Training and handover to operations
  • Operational support and adaptation as required

Requirements

  • Release SAP ERP 600 or higher
  • ABAP 7.4 or higher
